Spotlight: San Pedro de Alcántara

The traditional town of San Pedro de Alcántara has little straight and narrow streets and a main square in the centre of town overlooked by a lovely church. The town is vibrant with little coffeebars, tapas bars, shops and a weekly local market. All the festivities and celebrations are held on and around the square. Here you will find the locals with their families as well as the foreign residents who live in the area enjoying and spending the warm summer nights.

San Pedro de Alcantara has a lovely promenade along the sandy beach with several beach restaurants and beach clubs. From the town you can take a stroll down to the seaside. You can practise water sports, spend a lazy day on the beach, have some fresh fish in one the restaurants of just enjoy a lovely sunset in one of the beach clubs.

This is a vibrant town with lots to offer! It has the charm of a typical spanish town but is a surprising mixture of modern places and a spanish ambiance.
