The Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Al-Thani – he is also the owner of Malaga’s football club – has now paid the management fee to redevelop Marbella’s La Bajadilla fishing port into a new spectacular marina with promises of superyachts and cruise liners (see picture) and a five-star hotel, bars, shops & restaurants.
The counterweight of Puerto Banus will cost around 400 million euros in total and will be one of the most important urban investment for Marbella. The Bajadilla port will have an exclusive pier inside the marina is to be set aside for 26 boats.
There is also a 200-metre pier in the outer part of the marina, connec;ng directly with the inner harbour. Here the cruise-liners are able to dock and put passengers ashore to visit the town and to spend time visiting shops and restaurants.
